School sport is a valuable part of a healthy lifestyle and provides students with opportunities to experience new activities with their friends. Changes in the Department of Education policies and a strengthening of the Duty of Care requirements will see Wagga Wagga High modify their processes.
ALL students will stay at school for lunch every Thursday as each sport will start from school at 1:15pm. Students who select a sport which requires bus transport to their venue will meet on the senior lawn where rolls will be marked and students directed to their allocated bus. Students who participate in sport within walking distance of the school will meet their teachers at an assigned room to have the roll marked and will then walk to their sport venue under the direction and supervision of their teacher. ALL students will be expected to return to school at the end of sport (approximately 2:40pm) unless a permission note has been completed.
Once back at school, rolls will be marked again and students will be dismissed at 3:00pm. Students catching a bus will be supervised by staff until their bus collects them. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school.
