The DEC has enterprise agreements which allow the download and install of particular software, to support Bring Your Own Device initiatives.
Adobe:
The DEC's enterprise agreement with Adobe allows students to download and install Adobe Creative Suite 6 for free on one personally owned device.
Microsoft:
The enterprise agreement with Microsoft allows Students to download the full suite of Microsoft Office applications for use on their personal and BYOD devices. These complete applications will complement the provision of access to Microsoft Office 365 or "Office in the Cloud" available to students from early 2015. The software and associated mobile apps can be used on up with 15 devices owned or used by students of the DEC at no charge.
These initiatives align with the Department's Student Bring Your Own Device Policy allowing students with access to software on their personal devices to continue school work at home and expand the 'work at home' program for staff.
