Welcome to Wagga Wagga High School, proudly known as The High School on the Hill.
As Wagga Wagga’s longest-standing government high school, we combine a proud history with a comprehensive education built around academic excellence, belonging and opportunity for every student.
Our students benefit from expert teaching, High Potential and Gifted Education, Advanced and Extension courses, extensive elective choice from Year 8, and strong vocational, TAFE and industry pathways. This breadth allows young people to discover their strengths, pursue their interests and prepare confidently for university, further training, employment and life beyond school.
Most importantly, we are a diverse and inclusive community where students are challenged to aim high, supported in their sense of belonging, and encouraged to define success in ways that reflect their aspirations.

Our teaching staff
Your child’s school experience is shaped by the people around them. Our teachers bring experience, care and a passion for learning to every lesson. With a focus on success, they help every child reach their full potential. There are 12 Head Teachers responsible for the administration of their respective faculty areas. This includes the teaching within that area and the management of students within that faculty. Parents should feel confident in contacting Head Teachers about their child's performance in the faculty.

Wellbeing and support staff
Our administrative and operations staff keep our school running smoothly. They support students, teachers and families every day. You can find them in our front office or on the school grounds.

Counsellors
Our school counsellors are Mrs Scerri (Mon/Wed/Thu) and Mr Ellis (Fri). They are trained to help students and their parents work through problems that are causing concern. Students may approach directly or through their Student Adviser or Mrs Murray. Our counsellors may also refer students to other sources of help when necessary.
Careers
As you move into Years 9-12, you will have increasing contact with the Careers Advisers, Mrs Fellows and Mrs White. The Careers Room is on the top floor of A Block, just next to the Ted Drake Room.
Library
All students will meet the Teacher Librarian, Miss K Hilton. Some of you will also work with the Learning and Support Teacher, Mrs Smith, and possibly one or more of the school's teacher aides.
Anti Racism
If you have concerns about what other students are saying to you or about you, you may wish to speak to the school's Anti-Racism Contact Officers, Mrs Murray (LOTE) and Ms Germantse (English).
Sport
The school's sports organisers are Miss Dare (Maths) and Mr James (PDHPE).

SRC
Mrs Clark coordinates the Student Representative Council, giving students the opportunity to work alongside the Senior Leadership Team and school executive. SRC members represent their peers, contribute to school decision-making, help plan events, fundraisers and activities, and build their leadership skills while strengthening a positive school culture.
